Data coverage / provenance
See what Waterline knows—and what it doesn't.
Commercial trust depends on showing the boundary between fresh evidence, aging evidence, modeled interpretation and facts that still require a counterparty. This page exposes Waterline's current public-data coverage instead of hiding it behind a score.
Live coverage matrix
Freshness is part of the answer.
Commercial evidence checks
Fresh operating data is not a confirmed freight quote.
Measured by original source timestamps, not the time Waterline re-downloaded the same observation. Missing freight-lane rates stay unknown.
Evidence families
Public context with named provenance.
Vessel observations, NOAA water-level context and route/network evidence where available.
Government and public references such as EIA, USDA, BLS, Seaway notices and FX references where used by the relevant model.
Operator capabilities, service regions and contact paths supported by published sources.
Never silently promoted
Three things still require confirmation.
A fit score or vessel observation is not a promise that space is available.
Modeled economics and indices are not a provider quote.
Only direct counterparty confirmation creates a commercial commitment.
